While electronic controllers represent ZAPI's core business, the ZAPI Group also includes other dedicated companies such as ZIVAN (specialized in high frequency battery chargers), ZTP (specific for joysticks and data loggers as well as providing service on ZAPI products), Best Motor (electric motors) and since July 2012 Schabmüller, a major German motor manufacturer. A further growth of the ZAPI Group family took place in 2014 with the acquisition of Inmotion (former Kollmorgen- EVS) and its facilities in USA (Blacksburg, Virginia) with production and assembly of electric motors and electronic inverters, Sweden (Stockholm) with special focus on high voltage inverters for hybrids and China (Tianjin) with a factory for motors and high voltage generators and low voltage inverters for material handling applications. In December 2016, ZAPI Group has continued its international expansion through the acquisition of the Canadian company “Delta-Q Technologies”, which is a point of reference in manufacturing high frequency industrial battery chargers for electric, recreational and utility vehicles.
The definition of a highly integrated product portfolio and the synergies between the different technologies present in the ZAPI Group companies have enabled the creation of a unique offering of packages at system level.
ZAPI's growth has been in the recent years constant and significant. The Group counts more than 1200 employees with a total annual turnover of more than 400 million US dollars.
